Welcome To
Center for Maternal Mental Health

Our counseling services focus around the needs of women and mothers.
We are here to support you on your journey through motherhood. Whether you are pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant, pursuing adoption, recently postpartum, have experienced a miscarriage or infant loss, are experiencing infertility, or are already a seasoned mother, we are here for you.

We understand that a lot of the time, us mothers are the glue of the home. We expect so much of ourselves, and spread ourselves thin so that we can meet the needs of all of those around us.
We give our best to our children and family.
Maybe you have been putting yourself last and you feel like now is the time to take care of you.

Maybe you have been feeling lonely, depressed, or anxious. Maybe you find yourself crying more than usual, lashing out in anger, feeling unsupported and alone. Maybe this all feels like too much to handle and you wonder how you will make it through. You’ve come to the right place.

Did you know that postpartum depression, being one of the most common complications of pregnancy, affects 1 in every 7 women? And that postpartum anxiety disorders affect an estimated 11-17% of women?*

You are not alone. There are many women who suffer from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Getting help is the first step in becoming the mom you know you can be, the mom you’ve always hoped you’d be, without the heaviness you feel.

If you think you may be suffering from postpartum depression, consider the following:

Do you:

Have trouble sleeping?
Find you’re exhausted most of the time?
Notice a decrease in your appetite?
Worry about little things that never used to bother you?
Wonder if you’ll ever have time to yourself again?
Think your children would be better off without you?
Worry that your partner will get tired of you feeling this way?
Snap at your partner and children over everything?
Think everyone else is a better mother than you are?
Cry over the slightest thing?
No longer enjoy the things you used to enjoy?
Isolate yourself from your friends and neighbors?
Fear leaving the house or being alone?
Have anxiety attacks?
Have unexplained anger?
Have difficulty concentrating?
Think something else is wrong with you or your marriage?
Feel like you will always feel this way and never get better?
